Behind our journey

Leya, the maker of Rowan Lane Fibres, has kindly produced three beautiful botanically dyed colourways that complement the unique hues of Makiko’s Mazekoze collection for this special collaboration.

The colourways are:

• Whisper (pink) - avocado skins and stones

• Breath (grey) - privet berries, logwood, oak leaves

• Hum (yellow) - pomegranate peel, alder cones

• Embrace (gentle caramel brown) - alder cones

The Kindred collection of table linens has been inspired by the symbolism of the trees that some of the ingredients were sourced from. Privet berries signify healing, alder cones carry a meaning of balance, completeness and wholeness, while avocados symbolise love. To us, these are the tenets of home.

The Mazekoze collection brings harmony by mixing together the subtle hues and textures that are soft to the touch and gentle to the eyes. The glazes are hand mixed with natural oxides in a traditional potter’s manner. There are four colourways; sakura pink, grey, yellow ochre and white.
